Vision
Andhra Mahila Sabha Mitra Mandir’, a unit of DDMS (AMS) was established in June 2018, to be a home for persons with intellectual disabilities. It operates from 1A, Justice Sundaram Road, Mylapore, Chennai, in an independent building, which consists of a ground floor (1982 sq feet built up area) and first floor (1748 sq feet built up area). It has a few single, double-sharing rooms and a multiple sharing room, along with class rooms in the ground floor. The facility is well-ventilated with adequate personal space and basic amenities. CCTV surveillance is provided.
The main aim of this unit is to provide shelter, food, care and rehabilitation for adult males with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities at an affordable price so that they can live the remaining years of their lives with dignity and quality.
